The Normandy Community Shop & Cafe will be a non profit purpose-built shop, owned by the community, run by the community and for the benefit of the community. The shop will be a modern, attractive and ecologically friendly focal point for the village, showcasing local produce alongside everyday items to cater for day to day needs as well as the odd treat.
As this is a community project, we are seeking the skills of local Tradespeople who will be willing to contribute in some way to the project, through sponsorship, advice and guidance and/or donating their time and skills to be a part of building the Normandy Village Community Shop and Cafe from the ground up.
Some of the skills we will require later this year as planning gets underway however the majority will be early 2021.
Some of the areas we need help in:
- Quantity Surveying
- Groundworks – foundations and drainage work
- Scaffolding
- Electrical
- Plumbing
- Roofing
- Carpentry
- Bricklaying
- General building
- Environmental Sustainability
- Heating
- Air Conditioning
- Windows/Doors fitting
- Flooring
